Tenancy Support

Working with local people and landlords in the Derbyshire Dales to reduce homelessness.
Adullam are working in partnership with Derbyshire Dales District Council to provide a service to local people aged 18+ who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
We can:
  • Provide information about housing options so people can make informed choices.
  • Develop links with housing providers and assist people to find, apply for and bid on properties.
  • Assist people to access funds/welfare resources to remove barriers to securing or retaining accommodation.
  • Provide floating support to assist tenants set up and maintain a tenancy and assist in resolving issues during the course of a tenancy.
  • Deliver one to one tenancy preparation.
  • Signpost/refer to specialist organisations such as CAB, mental health interventions, drug/alcohol, employment.
  • Assist with maximising income, benefit applications, advice on budgeting, debt and claims.
Clients should:
  • Be willing to engage in weekly support.
  • Have low to medium support needs (we offer approximately 2 hours support per week).
  • Be aged 18+
  • Have a local connection or be moving to the Derbyshire Dales for family or work reasons.


  • If you have a tenant who is struggling to maintain their tenancy, we may be able to work with them to help resolve the issue.
  • Adullam can provide access to a support worker to provide tenancy support.
  • We can also provide informal advice on rights and responsibilities involved in letting a property for both tenants and landlords.


Referrals can be made via the Housing Team at the DDDC Town Hall, Bank Road, Matlock (Tel: 01629 761100), or direct to Adullam staff based at the Town Hall.
